The Hidden Cost of Pride

Pride can be difficult to recognize because it does not always look like arrogance. Sometimes it appears as refusing to admit when we are wrong, believing we do not need help, or placing our own understanding above God's direction.

Pride creates distance. It can damage relationships, prevent growth, and keep us from recognizing the areas of our lives that need change. The more we rely on ourselves, the easier it becomes to forget that we need God.

Humility does not mean thinking less of yourself. It means recognizing that you do not have to have every answer or carry every burden alone.

When we choose humility, we become teachable. We become willing to listen, grow, apologize, and trust God's wisdom above our own.

Sometimes the greatest strength is found in being humble enough to say, "God, I need You."
